Will the keratin hair treatment work on my very coarse and dry hair?

i have african-american hair and its very dry and curly…i just got fed up with bad hair days will the treatment work and have you tried it?? if my hair gets longer will the roots be soft and silky or the same as my old hair??? pls help im really desperate
